Each summer we perform outdoors in the grounds of the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle. Usually Shakespeare, last year we produced The Two Gentlemen of Verona by William Shakespeare. It was performed on the 4th to 7th July 2007 to sellout audiences for four nights. Our productions are hugely popular and great fun to be involved in.

We flew in two 'real' Gentlemen from Verona, opera singers, to entertain and promote the play during the week. They were very well received by our audiences and the people of the North East when they performed at various venues in the area.

Winter tour 2007/2008

'Grimm's Fairy Tales'

This year we toured various village halls in Teesdale and Darlington with a colourful adaptation of seven of Grimm's fairy stories. Adapted by four members of The Castle Players, it saw long term member Bryony Bell direct her first production for the company.
